Source Route Bridging

• Source route bridging is the traditional method for transporting SNA and NetBIOS traffic in an IBM Token Ring environment, and is a basic element of the standard Token Ring IEEE 802.5 architecture

• Source route information is inserted in the source address field

• There is a 7 ring hop maximum
